• Bands don’t have much time to spare in between songs and rely on stage tuners to tune up quickly and accurately.
• Beginners who have not yet developed their ears need a guitar tuner to make sure their guitar is tuned properly
• People who use numerous alternate tunings save a lot of time using a guitar tuner instead of tuning by ear

Some people do not realize how important these things are, to all guitarists, beginner to expert.  If bands are not able to tune silently and accurately while on stage then they would end up taking too much time and would most definitely lose the crowds energy, and attention.
